How to read these
Okay, so these aren't the "10 productivity hacks" books or the ones people quote to sound clever at dinner. These are the seven that actually changed how my brain works — and by extension, how my business works.
I came back to them again and again while I was building Wright Mode, usually at the exact moment I was about to talk myself out of something big. Each one shifted a specific thing: how I position myself, how I think about money, how I scale without grinding myself into the ground.
My honest advice
Don't binge them. Read one a month, let it properly sink in, and pay attention to what changes.
The 7 books
Here they are — the seven I'd hand to any founder starting out. One a month.
01 — Key Person of Influence
Daniel Priestley · Personal branding
This is the one that rewired how I think about positioning. Before it, I was "a person who does AI stuff." After it, I understood how to actually become the go-to name in my space — and why that's the whole game when you're building a personal brand.
02 — We Should All Be Millionaires
Rachel Rodgers · Money + mindset
This one destroyed every excuse I had for playing small. Every single one. If there's a story running in the back of your head about why big money isn't for women like you, Rachel takes it apart page by page.
03 — 10x Is Easier Than 2x
Dan Sullivan & Benjamin Hardy · Scaling
Sounds completely backwards, I know. But this is the reason I stopped grinding for tiny incremental wins and started thinking WAY bigger. Turns out chasing 10x forces you to drop all the busywork that 2x lets you cling to.
04 — The Science of Scaling
Benjamin Hardy & Blake Erickson · Scaling
If 10x is the mindset, this is the mechanics. It gave me the actual frameworks behind WHY 10x thinking works — so it stopped feeling like a nice idea and started feeling like a plan I could follow.
05 — Atomic Habits
James Clear · Productivity + focus
Full confession: I thought this one was overhyped and avoided it for YEARS. I was wrong. It's genuinely brilliant — and it's the reason my systems still hold up on the days my motivation absolutely does not.
06 — $100M Money Models
Alex Hormozi · Sales + offers
This changed how I build and price everything I sell. Everything. If your offers feel a bit "pick a number and hope for the best," Hormozi hands you the actual models behind how the money works.
07 — The Courage to Be Disliked
Ichiro Kishimi & Fumitake Koga · Mindset + freedom
This one gave me permission to stop needing everyone's approval — which, if you're a recovering people-pleaser building something visible, is worth more than any business tactic on this list.
One last thing
Save this, read one a month, and I promise you won't be the same founder by the end of it — and neither will your business. Enjoy, GF. x
